Travel advice

Accessible source

From Mrs G. A. Clezy, MRPharmS

SIR,-While browsing "Fit for travel", the new National Health Service travel website (PJ, April 1, p500) I was advised to contact a doctor or nurse for suitable antimalarial tablets and any contraindications to vaccines. Are pharmacists no longer able to advise on this?
Has anyone told Dr Eric Walker, of the Scottish Centre for Infection and Environmental Health, that most individuals would consider their local pharmacy very accessible and pharmacists more than capable of providing the necessary information free of charge.
