From Ms L. Juroszek, MRPharmS
SIR,-Professor Keith Kendal should not feel hurt and offended (PJ, April 8, p544). Instead, the staff at Robert Gordon university in Aberdeen should be congratulated for their continuing commitment to developing the course at RGU to suit the changing needs of the profession.
I have no doubt the considerable funding of £400,000 for the pharmaceutical care centre (PJ, April 1, p515) would not have been forthcoming if it was not for the excellent reputation the school of pharmacy has for producing well-trained pharmacists.
I graduated in 1975 and have always tried to keep my knowledge up to date. Last year I completed a postgraduate clinical diploma and am currently undertaking an MSc. This training has been invaluable in my new post as a primary care pharmacist and I am confident that I will be able to cope with all aspects of the job. Unfortunately, I have missed the opportunity to make use of the pharmaceutical care centre, but for those who will use it, I am sure the experience will be enhanced through working with the staff of the school of pharmacy.
