Mrs Madeleine Keyworth, MRPharmS, has been appointed chairman of South Humber health authority. She began a four-year term as chairman on April 1.
Mrs Keyworth has been a member of various health authorities in the locality since 1988, when she was appointed to the then Scunthorpe district health authority. From 1990 to 1996 she was a member of Humberside family health services authority and continued as a health authority member when the FHSA and the local health authority were merged in 1996. She subsequently became vice-chairman of the merged HA.
Having jointly owned a community pharmacy with her husband at Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, from 1980 to 1994, Mrs Keyworth now works as a community pharmacy locum and Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education tutor.
