Scottish NHS modernisation board announced

The National Health Service in Scotland is to have a "modernisation board" to accelerate reforms to the NHS.
Speaking at a Scottish NHS conference at Peebles on May 4, the Scottish Health Minister (Ms Susan Deacon) said that the board membership would be drawn from the Government, the NHS and social care services.
"The modernisation board will work with the services to help plan our investment and to help ensure it is well managed and yields real dividends for patients and the NHS. It will provide an ongoing link between Government and the NHS and it will enable us to develop and take forward a shared agenda."
