Parke-Davis will be discontinuing ward packs of 100, 500 and 1,000 capsules of Epanutin (phenytoin) 100mg and replacing them with packs of 84 capsules (net price, £2.36). 500-capsule packs of both Epanutin 25mg and 50mg will be replaced by packs of 28 capsules (net price, 25mg 55p, 50mg 56p). Packs of 100 x 300mg capsules will be discontinued and replaced by 28-capsule packs (net price, £2.36) and Epanutin Infatabs 50mg, pack size 100, will be replaced by packs of 112 (net price, £6.15). The new pack sizes will be phased in as stock of the old packs is exhausted, says the company.
