The Society

Excuses wearing thin

From Mrs A. S. Bussey, MRPharmS

SIR,-In response to Paul Roberts's letter (PJ, April 8, p542), my cheque also took a number of weeks to be cleared by the Society.
Also I still have not received a receipt for the payment of annual fees and, for me, this is the third year in a row that issue of receipts have been delayed.
I telephoned the registration department yet again today (April 11) to be told I would have to wait yet another two weeks.
The excuses of computer breakdown and lack of personnel to deal with the workload wear thin.
It is about time the Society got this sorted out and provided an efficient service. If not, perhaps we should delay paying our fees promptly next year and have the money making interest in our own bank accounts instead of the Society's.
