The Pharmacy Mutual Insurance Company (PMI) has launched a professional indemnity insurance scheme for locum pharmacists. It provides cover for professional indemnity, public liability and legal defence costs. They will also have access to 24-hour helplines for legal and tax advice and personal counselling. In a statement, the PMI said that National Pharmaceutical Association benefits extended to NPA members and anyone they employed or engaged, but that some locums wanted their own policies.
