Mr Hugh Purves, a community pharmacist from Cupar, Fife, has been appointed to an expert group set up to help the National Health Service in Scotland improve the way it deals with winter pressures.
Announcing the formation of the group on May 10, the Scottish Health Minister (Ms Susan Deacon) said that the new group would help health boards and trusts learn from the events of last winter and improve their winter planning arrangements.
