The licensed indications for Novartis Pharmaceuticals's Lescol (fluvastatin) capsules have been extended. Lescol is now additionally indicated "as an adjunct to diet for the reduction of elevated total-C, LDL-C, apo-B and TG levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolaemia and mixed dyslipidaemia (Fredrickson types IIa and IIb)."
