Mr Robert McArtney, MRPharmS, has been appointed as a member of the steering board for the national service framework implementation plan for coronary heart disease in Wales. Mr McArtney is principal pharmacist at University Hospital Wales, Cardiff.
Mr Graeme Millar, MRPharmS, has been appointed chairman of the Scottish Consumers Council until April 30, 2003. The council is a subcommittee of the National Consumers Council. Mr Millar is chairman of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Scottish Executive. He is also chairman of the Common Services Agency of the National Health Service in Scotland and chairman of the South of Scotland Electricity Board.
Mr Mark Duman, MRPharmS, has left BBC Education's health and relationships department to become director of corporate affairs for Encyclomedica Ltd, a new health information organisation.
