British Biotech cuts staff

British Biotech is to cut 90 jobs at its Cambridge plant as part of a company reorganisation. The jobs will go in the research and central supply departments.
The reorganisation is to allow the company to concentrate on drug development, according to its management. The cuts are expected to generate £8m in savings.
A total of 51 jobs will go immediately with the rest going in the next six months; 140 staff will be left at the plant.
