In a Parliamentary written reply on June 15, Ms Gisela Stuart (Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health) told Dr Brian Iddon (Lab, Bolton South East) that Ministers had agreed in principle to allow buprenorphine to be prescribed to addicts in instalments and were now consulting on how best to implement the change.
Dr Iddon had asked when buprenorphine would become prescribable in instalments.
