From Mr A. Phillips, MRPharmS
SIR,-Might I suggest that Mr Longshaw's letter (PJ, June 17, p914) be a sobering example to us all. Benadryl is not the first, and I am sure will not be the last, product to be relaunched with little fanfare as to the change of ingredients. Golden eye ointment also springs to mind. Thus we need to take it upon ourselves as a profession to make sure we are aware of the ingredients of the products we sell and not depend on the manufacturers, who are relying on tried and trusted brands and are not about to dilute their brand names by trumpeting changes of ingredients.
