Mr Ashwin Tanna, the south London pharmacist who stood as the UK Independence Party candidate in the Tottenham by-election on June 22, lost his deposit. He polled 136 votes (0.83 per cent) and came seventh out of eight candidates.
Mr Tanna also lost his deposit in the recent election for the mayor of London.
