An alliance of three pharmaceutical companies is to launch a European internet exchange for generic medicines and parallel imports in the autumn.
Intercare Group Plc, Alpharma Inc and William Ransom & Son Plc are to launch indiemed.com with the aim of creating a transparent pan-European exchange for manufacturers, wholesalers, importers and pharmacies. A holding page for their new website (www.indiemed.com) says that it will "bring increased efficiency, transparency and choice to the pharmaceuticals market."
