SIR,-We have now checked with the director of counter fraud services who has confrmed that dispensing doctors get 1.7p per item for point of dispensing checks, not the 7p stated in Mr Rutter's letter (PJ, June 10, p883). The Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee negotiated 2.3p per item which will be indexed up each year by the global sum increase.
