THE Statutory Committee will meet at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, 1 Lambeth High Street, London SE1 7JN, on Tuesday, July 11, at 10am, to hear (1) an inquiry into a complaint by the Council of the Society against a pharmacist which includes allegations that trading without a pharmacist in personal control of the premises and the presence of unlabelled and inadequately labelled containers, some of which contained mixed batches of medicines, on dispensary shelves amount to misconduct; and to hear (2) an inquiry into a complaint by the Council of the Society against a pharmacist which alleges that submission by the pharmacist of mileage claims in excess of the calculated mileage resulting in overpayment amounts to misconduct.
The Statutory Committee will further meet on Wednesday, July 12, at 2pm, to hear (3) a resumed inquiry into a complaint by the Council of the Society against a pharmacist which includes allegations that the pharmacist disregarded his legal and professional duties with respect to the control and storage of medicinal products (in July, 1999, misconduct was proved and the Committee adjourned the inquiry for one year); and to hear (4) an inquiry into the case of a pharmacist convicted of driving while disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence.
The Statutory Committee will further meet on Thursday, July 13, at 10am, to hear (5) an inquiry into the case of a pharmacist convicted of conspiring to import and supply a Class C Controlled Drug and also of theft; and to hear (6) an inquiry into a complaint by the Council of the Society against a pharmacist which alleges that several dispensing errors committed by the pharmacist amount to misconduct.
