SIR,-Catching up on journals after a holiday, I could scarcely credit the response to Sarah Roberts's letter (PJ, June 3, p845). I have not seen the poster referred to but I have no doubt that the description of the pharmacist depicted is correct. It seems that the only things missing are the old plastic carrier bags that would complete the ensemble.
We strive constantly to improve our image and yet here is our Society's spokeswoman endorsing a scruffy impression concocted by the Department of Health. But, then, perhaps this is how the DoH really sees us.
I despair!
