Travelling fellowship The UK Clinical Pharmacy Association is inviting applications for its 2000 Astra Zeneca travelling fellowship. The award of £1,500 is intended to allow a pharmacist to visit a centre of excellence in any country to explore a chosen topic and to compare it with practice in the United Kingdom. The award is intended to promote the introduction of new clinical expertise in the areas of evidence based pharmaceutical care, standards and accreditation, prescribing guidelines, anaesthetics and pain relief, cardiovascular therapy, infection control, oncology or psychiatry. Applicants should submit one full copy of their proposal, not exceeding 1,500 words, and a short curriculum vitae together with five copies of the proposal without author or establishment names for adjudication purposes. Applications should be sent to the UKCPA, Alpha House, Countesthorpe Road, Wigston, Leicestershire LE18 4PJ by August 11. The successful applicant will receive the fellowship at the association's residential symposium in Blackpool on November 26 and will be expected to present a report at the 2001 symposium.
