The Journal

Interesting letters

From Mrs E. A. Mishon, MRPharmS

SIR,-As I do not receive The Pharmaceutical Journal until two to three weeks its after publication date, perhaps I am fortunate that I can rely on PJOnline at www.pharmj.com.
There were two interesting letters in The Journal of July 29, both of which strike out for the fundamental rights of the membership.
One written by Anthony Cox and Simon Whitaker (p160) expressed concern about The Journal's editorial freedom. I am forced to confess in this context that I have been surprised at the "lack" of reporting which followed the Council and Presidential elections.
The other letter, written by Graham Walker (p160), a former Council member, deplored the treatment received by a present Council member, Sid Dajani, when, as a result of the branch representatives' meeting, he asked for information regarding salary increases awarded to staff members at Lambeth. The bottom line was that he was refused. This cannot be allowed to continue.
