Further media training for branch PROs

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society's public relation unit is offering further media training courses for the Society's branch public relations officers. PROs interested in taking part in a future one-day course are asked to contact Mr David Daley in the public relation unit (tel 020 79141 ext 224; e-mail ddaley@rpsgb.org.uk).
Five PROs took part in a course last week conducted by media trainer Jack Saltman, a former senior documentary producer who has worked for current affairs programmes such as Tonight and Panorama.
After an introduction to the broadcast media, the five were given an opportunity to practise what they had learnt in front of a television camera.
The next media training course, in November, is already fully booked, but further courses are planned for 2001.
