The dispensing of prescription only medicines by veterinary surgeons is to be reviewed by an independent committee, the Government has announced.
The committee's terms of reference are to review the procedures by which prescription only medicines for veterinary use are classified and sold in the United Kingdom and the impact current practices may be having on availability and prices, and to make recommendations by March 31, 2001.
