Statutory Committee

THE Statutory Committee will meet at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, 1 Lambeth High Street, London SE1 7JN, on Tuesday, August 15, at 10am, to hear (1) an inquiry into the case of an applicant seeking registration with the Society convicted of false accounting; and (2) an inquiry into the case of a pharmacist convicted of false accounting.
The Statutory Committee will further meet on Wednesday, August 16, at 10am, to hear (3) an inquiry into a complaint by the Council of the Society against a superintendent pharmacist and company which includes allegations that the superintendent pharmacist's failure to ensure that a pharmacist was in personal control at all times that the pharmacies were open for business, failure to exercise control over the sale of codeine linctus and failure to appreciate and discharge the duties and responsibilities of a superintendent pharmacist, amount to misconduct.

Alterations to the Byelaws: Statutory fees

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Section XXVII of the Byelaws that the Council of the Society has approved proposals to alter the Byelaws as hereunder and that they intend to make such alterations after the expiry of 60 days from the date of this notice.

NOTE: Premises fees are fixed by regulation of the Secretary of State for the Department of Health to whom the Council will make application for the registration fee to be increased from £139 to £143, the retention fee to be increased from £90 to £93 and the restoration fee to be increased from £286 to £295 as from January 1, 2001.
