NHS plan

Forgotten?

From Mr P. B. Lowe, MRPharmS

SIR,-Paragraph 12.6 of the NHS plan pledges that by 2004 patients will be able to see a primary care professional within 24 hours. Since this does not compare well with the 24 seconds or so it presently takes to see a pharmacist simply by walking into any community pharmacy, one wonders if the Health Service is to get that much worse or if, surprise, the Government has forgotten us again.
