From Mr E. W. Jenkins, FRPharmS
SIR,-While the authors of "Involving community pharmacists in asthma care" are to be congratulated on their enthusiasm to find new roles for pharmacists (PJ, July 22, p136), it could be of interest for them to know that many general practice nurses hold the established "Diploma in asthma management" and have been efficiently involved in monitoring chronic disease management. Is it considered necessary to involve others in more costly procedures and with what could be inconvenient clinics?
