THE Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Academy of Pharmaceutical Scientists will hold its annual general meeting on Tuesday, September 12, at 1.15pm, in Hall 10A, International Convention Centre, Birmingham. The meeting will be asked to agree the academy's objectives and activities and to adopt the constitution (which was published in the spring issue of the newsletter of the academy).

THE names of the following persons were erased from the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists on August 17 following the direction of the Statutory Committee at its meeting in May: Mr Paul Robert Crawford, of 14 Farm Lane, Mudeford, Christchurch, Dorset (registration number 92425); Mr Arvind Kumar Chandubhai Patel, of 24 Ernest Road, Hornchurch, Essex (registration number 65492).
NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Section XXVII of the Byelaws that the Council of the Society has approved proposals to alter the Byelaws concerning the Council and meetings of the Council (Section VII) as hereunder and that it intends to make such alterations after the expiry of 60 days from the date of this notice, subject to such amendments as the Lords of the Privy Council may require.

Paragraph 4 After "subsistence" insert "and any other expenses outlined in Section VII, paragraph 3".

Note: The effect of the Byelaw amendment is to provide for the limits for all expenses mentioned in that paragraph, including reimbursement for locum expenses, if agreed by the Privy Council, to be determined annually by resolution of the Council and reported to the annual general meeting.
