PIA topslices premiums for pharmacy development fund

The Pharmacy Insurance Agency is to set aside 1 per cent of all insurance premiums it receives for the PIA Foundation - a newly established fund to help support professional developments in pharmacy.
Announcing the move on August 29, Mr Mark Koziol (director, PIA) said: "The ethos of our company has always been to put something back into the profession and we have always provided financial support for various causes in pharmacy."
To start the foundation off, the company has committed itself to a minimum contribution of £25,000 for its first year. Pharmacists and organisations who wish to submit applications for funding can contact the foundation at The Old Fire Station, 69 Albion Street, Birmingham B1 3EA.
