The Statutory Committee will meet at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, 1 Lambeth High Street, London SE1 7JN, on Tuesday, September 19, at 10am, to hear (1) an application for restoration from a person whose name has been removed from the register; and to hear (2) an inquiry into a complaint by the Council of the Society against a superintendent pharmacist which includes allegations that a failure to have adequate procedures for safe delivery of medicines and a failure to ensure that medicines returned for disposal were not reissued to patients amount to misconduct.
The Statutory Committee will further meet on Wednesday, September 20, at 10am to hear (3) an application for restoration from a person whose name has been removed from the register; and to hear (4) an inquiry into a complaint by the Council of the Society against a superintendent pharmacist which includes allegations that the pharmacist's failure to ensure that the Society was properly notified of his resignation as superintendent pharmacist and the delegation of his responsibilities to a person whom he knew had been found guilty of misconduct by the Statutory Committee and removed from the register, resulting in the business trading with no pharmacist in charge for four days in January, 1999, amount to misconduct.
