Intron A

Schering-Plough has changed the name of Intron A (interferon alfa-2b) to IntronA. The company has also updated the SPC. IntronA is now additionally licensed for use as combined therapy with cytarabine (Ara-C) for the treatment of chronic myelogenous leukaemia. It is no longer indicated for the treatment of AIDS-related Kaposi’s sarcoma.
