Novartis Pharmaceuticals has revised the summary of product characteristics for Neoral (ciclosporin) soft gelatin capsules 10mg, 25mg, 50mg and 100mg and oral solution 100mg/ml and Sandimmun (ciclosporin) infusion 50mg/ml. The interaction section for both products now states: “Plasma or whole blood concentrations of ciclosporin can be reduced by concomitant use of the herbal remedy St John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum).”
