Sudafed Dual Relief capsules, for the relief of cold and flu symptoms, have been launched by Warner-Lambert. The company says that the product contains paracetamol 300mg, phenylephrine 5mg and caffeine 25mg, is non-drowsy and relieves nasal congestion and sinus pain. For adults, two capsules should be taken every four to six hours, up to a maximum of 12 in 24 hours. For children (aged 6-12), one capsule should be taken every four to six hours, up to a maximum of six in 24 hours. The capsules are contraindicated in patients with hypertension, hyperthyroidism, prostate disease, glaucoma, cardiac disease and pregnancy and with concurrent use of antidepressants (retail price, 16 £2.79, 32 £4.59).
