Wyeth Laboratories will be discontinuing Ativan 4mg/ml injection (lorazepam), pack size 10 x 1ml, with effect from October 23. The company says that this is because of low demand for the product in the UK as well as difficulties experienced within the supply chain of complying with the 0-4C storage and transport requirement. Wyeth says that customers who wish to continue purchasing lorazepam injection may do so on a named patient basis from IDIS World Medicines (tel 020 8410 0700).
