Merck Sharp & Dohme has updated the summary of product characteristics for Maxalt (rizatriptan) 5mg and 10mg tablets and Melt 10mg oral lyophilisates. The pharmacodynamics section now additionally states that “rizatriptan remains effective in treating menstrual migraine, ie, migraine that occurs within three days before or after the onset of menses”.
