Two antenatal screening for hepatitis B leaflets for pregnant
women have been produced by the Childrens Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF).
The CLDF says that the first leaflet is for pregnant women who have not had
a hepatitis B virus test and explains why the test is being offered. The second
is for women who are found to test positive for hepatitis B and explains the
meaning of various test results and emphasises the need for the baby to be vaccinated
against the virus, says the CLDF. Copies of the leaflet can be obtained from
the CLDF, 36 Great Charles Street, Birmingham B3 3JY (tel 0121 212 3839, website
