Mr Bernard Miller has retired as financial director and company secretary of
Numark Ltd after 32 years of service with the company in its various forms.
Mr Miller joined National Pharmaceutical Union Marketing Ltd (NPUM) in October,
1968, at its Southgate offices in north London. Since that time the company
has passed through the stages of being jointly owned by the NPU (now National
Pharmaceutical Association) and participating wholesalers, being wholly owned
by wholesalers and, since 1995, being owned by its pharmacist shareholders.
Its offices moved first to Warminster, Wiltshire, and are now at Tamworth, West
Midlands.
Mr Terry Norris (managing director, Numark) paid tribute to Mr Miller at a dinner
in London on October 9, speaking of his years of hard work behind the
scenes.
