The Guild of Healthcare Pharmacists has complained to the Department of Health
about a six-month delay in negotiations on pay for hospital pharmacists. The
Department responded by agreeing to a meeting on November 1.
The guild protested because it had received no response to, or communication
from the Department about, its claim submitted in April. The guild said that
it was anxious to address matters relating to the pay and terms of employment
for pharmacists and to establish the effect which last years pay rise
had had on the recruitment of pharmacists in the National Health Service.
