Astra Zeneca is discontinuing Heminevrin (chlor-
methiazole) infusion. The company says that stocks are expected to be exhausted
by December 31. Heminevrin capsules and syrup will continue to be available.
The company has also amended the labelling text for Marcain (bupivacaine) 0.25
per cent with adrenaline and Marcain (bupivacaine) 0.5 per cent with adrenaline
ampoules. The labels will be updated and will state the following new names
for the products: Marcain 0.25 per cent with adrenaline (5µg/ml) (1:200,000)
Steripack; Marcain 0.5 per cent with adrenaline (5µg/ml) (1:200,000) Steripack.
