Novartis Consumer Health is recalling the following batches of Locorten-Vioform (flumetasone pivalate) ear drops, pack size 7.5ml dropper bottle: L80003, expiry date September, 2003, and L90004, expiry date August, 2004. This is because the company discovered, during stability testing, that the content of active ingredients has fallen below, or is approaching, the lower limits registered in the product licence. Recipients are requested to quarantine stock from these batches and return it to their supplier for credit or replacement.
