Wyeth Laboratories has revised the summaries of product characteristics for Zoton (lansoprazole) capsules, Zoton suspension 30mg and Heliclear (combination pack containing Klaricid [clarithromycin] 500mg tablets, Zoton 30mg capsules, amoxicillin 500mg capsules). Carbamazepine has been added to the interactions section. Caution should be exercised when carbamazepine is taken concomitantly with lansoprazole. Also, the shelf life of Zoton suspension has been extended from two to three years.
