The following batches of Gelofusine (succinylated gelatin) intravenous infusion 500ml Ecoflac have been recalled by B Braun Medical: 0191D23A, 0191D23B, 0191D23C, 0191D24A, 0191D24B, 0191D24C, 0191D24D, 0191D24E, expiry date April, 2005. This is because the company has received an increased number of reports of adverse reactions associated with administration of these batches. Recipients are requested to quarantine stock from these batches and to return it to their supplier for credit or replacement.
