Enfield branch hosts MP's visit

Stephen Twigg talks to Georgie Herskovits (pharmaceutical advisor, Enfield and Haringey health authority) (right) and Carol Hill (chief pharmacist, Enfield and Barnet Hospitals NHS trust)

Mr Stephen Twigg (Labour member of Parliament for Enfield) attended a meeting of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Enfield and district branch on October 19.
Mr Alan Nathan (Council member, Royal Pharmaceutical Society and a member of the Enfield branch ) said: “I would encourage all branches to try to get their local MP along to a meeting, especially now when the NHS plan for the future of pharmacy is so topical. A number of important issues were raised during the evening and Mr Twigg certainly went away with a clearer view of the work of pharmacists.”
In a statement, the Society said: “The meeting, entitled ‘Building a future’, gave pharmacists the chance to discuss aspects of the National Health Service plan for pharmacy with Mr Twigg and enabled him to ask questions and raise points relating to pharmacy health care in the local area.”
