The National Pharmaceutical Association has produced two resource packs for
preregistration trainees who are being seconded from either community or hospital
pharmacy to the other sector.
The packs are designed to improve the quality of experience gained by trainees
during their secondment period, explaining the workings of independent community
pharmacies and hospital pharmacy departments.
Each pack offers guidance on the organisation of secondments and include an
evaluation form for the trainee to complete. It also contain lists of activities
closely linked to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s performance standards
for preregistration training. From the beginning of next year the packs will
be incorporated into the Society’s workbook for trainees.
