The Consumer Health Information Centre (CHIC) has launched a colds and influenza
campaign. For the campaign, CHIC has produced a guide to treating colds and
’flu leaflet in conjunction with the Doctor Patient Partnership, the Royal
Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, the National Pharmaceutical Association
and the Royal College of Nursing. The leaflet provides information on the common
cold and the treatment of symptoms. It will be distributed, free of charge,
through pharmacies, health promotion units and libraries and can also be obtained
from CHIC (tel 020 7404 7842) or via the CHIC website (www.chic.org.uk).
Reckitt Benckiser has produced a “Cold and ’flu survival guide”
leaflet. The leaflet gives advice on what symptoms to look for and how to minimise
the misery of colds and ’flu, says the company. Copies of the leaflet can
be obtained, free of charge, from the company’s medical information unit
