About People

Mr Larry Hurst, MRPharmS, Dr Michael Jepson, FRPharmS, Mrs Ruth Rodgers, MRPharmS, and Mr Michael Rudin, MRPharmS, have been made fellows of the Institute of Pharmacy Management International for their services on the institute’s council. Mr Miall James, FRPharmS, has been made a fellow for his services to the institute and its conferences. Certificates of fellowship were presented at the institute’s recent conference in Lincoln.

Ms Sharon Andrew, MRPharmS, was the winner of the first Pharmacia & Upjohn travel award for ophthalmic pharmacists. Ms Andrew is senior clinical pharmacist for surgery at Manchester Royal infirmary. Her submission for the award was entitled “The role of the ophthalmic pharmacist in the multidisciplinary ophthalmic team”. She has won an expenses-paid trip to an American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting in Dallas, Texas, and she will also be visiting an American ophthalmic institute and managed care group.
