A series of leaflets has been developed by pharmacists
at the haemophilia centre at St Thomas's hospital, London. They provide information
for patients with atrial fibrillation, pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis
and heart valve replacements receiving warfarin. In addition, a booklet is available
which provides information for patients travelling by air who have a history
of blood clots.
Copies of the leaflets can be obtained by contacting Miss Kathy Morgan (senior
anticoagulation pharmacist, Guy's and St Thomas's Hospital NHS trust, tel 020
7928 9292 ext 8308). Miss Morgan says that there will be a nominal charge for
the leaflets to cover printing costs.
