COMPOSITION: Amprenavir 15mg/ml.

STORAGE AND STABILITY: Do not store above 25C. Discard 15 days after first opening.
ACTION, INDICATIONS: As for amprenavir capsules. For use in children and adults unable to swallow capsules.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: As for amprenavir capsules. Because of the potential risk of toxicity with large amounts of the excipient propylene glycol, amprenavir oral solution is contraindicated in infants and children under the age of four years, pregnant women, hepatic and renal failure and patients treated with disulfiram or metronidazole.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Amprenavir can be taken with or without food. Amprenavir is 14 per cent less bioavailable from the oral solution than from the capsules and the oral solution and capsules are therefore not interchangeable on a milligram per milligram basis. Patients should discontinue the oral solution as soon as they are able to swallow the capsules.
Adults and children (over four years), 17mg(1.1ml)/kg three times a day in combination with other antiretrovirals, without exceeding a total daily dose of 2,800mg.
Elderly (over 65 years), as for capsules.
Renal impairment, use with caution.
Hepatic impairment, should not be used.
Lactation, as for capsules.
OVERDOSAGE: As for amprenavir capsules. See SPC for treating propylene glycol overdose.
