Ferring Pharmaceuticals has amended the licensed indications for DDAVP (desmopressin acetate) 0.1mg and 0.2mg tablets and DDAVP intranasal solution. The indication for primary nocturnal enuresis (PNE) has been removed for both these products. The company says that this will provide clearer prescribing options as Desmospray and Desmotabs 0.2mg will remain licensed for PNE and DDAVP tablets and DDAVP intranasal solution will be indicated for cranial diabetes insipidus.
