The much-delayed merger of Glaxo Wellcome Plc and Smithkline Beecham Plc is now set to be completed on December 27, the companies announced on December 12 after reaching an agreement with the United States Federal Trade Commission. A hearing at the High Court to approve the arrangements is set for December 20.
