Society to publish leading drug interaction works

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society is to collaborate with Dr Ivan Stockley on publishing works on drug interactions.
All editorial work on the Stockley publications will be undertaken jointly using the skills and experience of the Society’s editorial staff who work on ‘Martindale — The Complete Drug Reference’. Through the Pharmaceutical Press, the Society will also undertake marketing and distribution of the publications in printed and electronic formats.
Dr Stockley’s existing partnerships, in particular with Virtual Health Network for delivery across multiple digital media, are to be exploited in order fully to realise the Society potential of Dr Stockley’s extensive database of interactions information.
Commenting on the agreement, Dr Stockley said on December 19: "I have worked with the Society for many years, and the Pharmaceutical Press publishes the English language edition of my book ‘Drug Interactions’. The Society was the logical choice when it came to selecting a publishing partner and I am very pleased indeed that I have been able to ensure the long-term future for my work in both print and electronic forms through the Society."
Mr Charles Fry, the Society’s director of publications, commented: "This is a major opportunity for the Society’s successful publishing programme. Dr Stockley’s existing publications will complement the Pharmaceutical Press programme very well and there are excellent opportunities to develop some exciting new projects."
