The Government has accepted the recommendations of the pay review bodies for medical, nursing and allied health professionals. As a result, medical practitioners are to see their pay for 2001-2002 rise by 3.9 per cent, while pay for nurses and the professions allied to medicine will go up by 3.7 per cent.
